HEFLIN — Bennett Farms, known locally for hosting the annual Pumpkin Patch festival, will hold its first ever “Creekside Market” this weekend.
Co-owner Lexi Bennett said that 39 vendors have been lined up for the market, which will feature handcrafted and handmade items.
She said the market is something she and her husband, Jim, have been thinking about.
“We’re excited. We think it’s going to be something neat,” Bennett said.
Bennett said there will be live music and culinary offerings of pork skins, tea cakes, hamburgers and hot dogs as well as ribs and barbecue sandwiches.
Bennett said that the vendors attending will be offering the following:
- Leather crafts
- Antiques and vintage items
- Jams, jellies, honey and treats
- Woodworking, signs and repurposed furniture
- Hand-poured candles
- Baskets and handmade aprons
Bennett said that fresh produce will be on sale and a local farm will be selling fresh farm-raised pork and beef. There will also be wildflowers available for picking to make arrangements.
