A three-vehicle crash Thursday afternoon on Golden Springs Road caused no deaths or major injuries, police said.

Anniston police Chief Shane Denham said Thursday a driver lost control of his or her vehicle at 2:39 p.m. while driving north on Golden Springs Road just south of the Greenbrier Dear Road intersection. The driver overcorrected the steering wheel and collided with two other vehicles, Denham said.

“It wasn’t a major accident,” Denham said.

One of the involved drivers was taken to Regional Medical Center with minor injuries, Denham said. The chief said the driver initially wanted to drive herself to the hospital, but instead went by ambulance. She was the only person injured, according to Denham.

Anniston firefighters and local EMS crews were still at the scene at 3:15 p.m., with traffic backed up in the northbound lanes.
