We need a better way to describe wine

The late Robert Mondavi — Napa wine pioneer, visionary and American wine ambassador — envisioned wine becoming an integral part of American daily life. Before he died at age 95, his vision was starting to come to fruition. Had he lived a few more years, he would likely have been ecstatic to see America become the largest wine-consuming nation by volume.

As American wine consumption has increased, so has esoteric verbiage describing the ever-increasing flow of the oceans of wine.
