Hannah Davis has completed her student teaching and, since December, has been the proud owner of a diploma from Jacksonville State University. That diploma says that she has a degree in early childhood and elementary education.

Hannah has worked part time at The Willow Tree in Jacksonville for the past three years to help pay her way through school.

“It’s been a wonderful opportunity for me to work at The Willow Tree,” Hannah said. “I really enjoy it because I get to see everyone who comes in and help them pick out clothing and accessories that will make them feel even more beautiful.”

Hannah was born in Gadsden. She graduated from Southside High School. She said she believes that education has always been her calling. It’s also her passion, and she’s looking forward to having a positive impact on many young lives.

She did her student teaching at Piedmont Elementary. After having a chance to work in a classroom and meeting the students, teachers and staff, Hannah has come away with knowledge that she’s chosen the right career. Plus, she said, she loved getting to teach and learn in “such a great school system.”

Hannah’s parents, Brian and Angie Davis, live in Rainbow City. Her brother, Jordan, attends Gadsden State. Hannah said in her down time, she likes to read and watch Netflix. She also likes to cook and has since she was a child. She gives her grandmothers and her mother credit for instilling in her this love.
