Graduation 2018

Dear Senior Counselors or Representatives:

Once again, graduation time is approaching.

And so is The Anniston Star’s Graduation Edition, the special section honoring those graduating from area high schools.

It will appear in the May 20 edition of The Star, assuming a repeat of the outstanding cooperation the newspaper traditionally receives from school administrators.

Our needs are simple. We would like an alphabetized list of graduates and the number of graduates for the 2017-18 year; baccalaureate service information; and the names, photos and biographical information of your top three graduates (i.e. valedictorian, salutatorian and historian). If your school has summa cum laude graduates, you should send a group photo, if more than three students.

Please complete and submit this online form before April 13.

Valedictorian, Salutatorian and Historian (or a group photo of summa cum laude graduates) should be attached and sent in one e-mail to smagouirk@annistonstar.com. Be sure to include the graduates’ names and school with each photo.

The deadline for sending the information to us is 5 p.m. Friday, April 13. Changes in the graduate list can be made up until 5 p.m. May 4. If you have any questions about this method, contact Sue Magouirk at 256-235-3557.

Thank you for your help, and good luck with the remainder of the school year.
