Benjamin Alan Tootle, 28, and Jennifer Leann Torruella, 28, both of Birmingham were married May 7, 2016, The Michael Wedding Barn in Anniston with reception following the service. The officiant was Nathan Payne , cousin of the bride. Music was provided by Amado Ortiz.
Parents of the bride are Charles Stewart Torruella and Sylvia Pamela Moore Torruella of Jacksonville.
Parents of the groom are James Alan Tootle of Casselberry, Fla., and Kathy Lynn Tootle of Rome, Ga.
Grandparent of the bride is Sue Bonds of Weaver.
Grandparents of the groom are Roger Tootle and Norma Tootle.
The bride is a registered nurse at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) Hospital. She will graduate in August from UAB with a masters in nursing and will be a family nurse practitioner. She is a 2011 graduate of Jacksonville State University with a bachelors of science in nursing.
The groom is a 2014 graduate of Jacksonville State University with a bachelors of arts in liberal studies. He is employed by Infinity Insurance in Birmingham as a software developer trainee. He is enrolled at Nova Southeastern University and will graduate with a master of science in computer science engineering.
Bridesmaids were Tristen Persons, Christin Patterson, Cassie Floyd and Heather Sizemore, all Zeta Tau Alpha sorority sisters and Christie Crider, cousin.
Matron of honor was Pam Torruella, mother of the bride.
Maid of honor was Emily Torruella, sister of the bride.
Groomsmen were Matthew Mangham, Benjamin Trammell, Nathan Buffaloe and Daniel Guthrie, all best friends of the groom.
The best man was Samuel Tootle, brother of the groom.
Ring bearer was Dominick Clausen, escorted by Kano Alan Tootle.
The bride wore a Mikaella lace wedding dress made by Paloma Blanca. The lace gown was adorned with a scalloped, plunging front neckline and a fit and flare skirt and a chapel train. She carried a bouquet of English garden stems tied with and heirloom handkerchief with flowers of blush David Austin antique roses, white garden roses, green hydrangeas and white peonies, Dusty Miller and lemon leaf.
The couple resides in Birmingham.
