Christopher-Joel Carter is the guest performer at JSU Civic Symphony’s Holiday Pops concert Nov. 16.

There’s double learning and enjoyment in one day’s time on Nov. 16. The two events are for all ages, but especially for future generations. A midday book review and luncheon will center on a collection of personal stories and insights about 9/11 by 17 American authors. That evening, the fare is a holiday pops concert.

A piano recital for the public by members of a church on Nov. 14 fills out the calendar for that week, meaning that the arts, like the fall leaves of color, will soon be at their peak in November and December.
