Do as Jesus did
The best way to share one’s faith is to follow the supreme example of Jesus Christ. “For I have given you an example, that ye should do as I have done to you” (John 13:15). So we should strive to learn from His example — and from the good example of those who love and follow Him.
“Remember faith, virtue, knowledge, temperance, patience, brotherly kindness, godliness, charity, humility, diligence” (D&C 4:6). These are the attributes the Lord deserves from His disciples.
Nearing the end of His earthly ministry, our Savior, Jesus Christ, commanded His disciples: “Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature” (Mark 16:15). All Christians are under this command to share the gospel with everyone. Many call this the “great commission.”
Because each of us is to be “an example of the believers” (1Timothy 4:12) we should exercise our faith to follow Jesus Christ by example.

It requires words as well as actions
It has become popular for people in our day to quote St. Francis of Assisi with the simple quote, “Preach the gospel at all times. Use words when necessary.” The problem is that he never said that, according to any of his followers or his biographers.
This is a myth, probably started to silence the preaching of the gospel and to encourage people to try to live good lives. But according to the Bible, the Gospel must be preached, proclaimed, taught, shared and spoken to those who are not believers.
The Gospel is a message, and that requires that Christians open their mouths and use words to share it with others.
This can be done in many venues, using different methods, but it must be done with passion and boldness, because eternity depends on it.
If you are a Christian, then I am challenging you to proclaim the Gospel. Your good deeds and kindness might help others be willing to listen to you when you speak, but they will never come to know Jesus Christ as their savior unless they are told the life-giving message of the Gospel.
The best way to share the Gospel is to actually share it! Romans 10:14 says, “How then will they call on Him in whom they have not believed? How will they believe in Him whom they have not heard? And how will they hear without a preacher?”
