The annual Passover celebration at Temple Beth El in Anniston has been canceled for the second year in a row because of the coronavirus.

For the second year in a row, members of Anniston’s Temple Beth El won’t be meeting for Passover because of the pandemic. But Rabbi Lauren Cohn says the meaning behind the holiday is still as relevant as ever.

This year, Passover begins today and ends April 4. Cohn said members typically celebrate the first two nights, spending one evening at the synagogue and the other with family.
