Hosted by Interfaith Ministries of Calhoun County since 1989, the annual Community Thanksgiving Service unifies people of various faiths — Christian, Muslim and Jew — with the singular goal of praising those programs aimed at helping those in need.
This year’s service will be Sunday at 4 p.m. at the Church of St. Michael and All Angels, 1000 W. 18th St. in Anniston.
The event will begin with a procession of banners representing participating churches at 3:30 p.m.
James D. McLeod Jr., pastor of First Presbyterian Church in Anniston, will give the message.
A choir made up of singers from area churches will sing “All Things Bright and Beautiful” by Richard Shepherd and “Great is the Goodness of God Almighty” by Robert Greene.
