Honoring volunteers, past and present

  • Comments

Two Annistonians’ second interests — strong interests besides their careers — have helped to make two organizations the essence of learning and discovery that we enjoy today.

The late Harry M. Ayers, who in the past was publisher of the Anniston Star, provided cultural and intellectual guidance in developing Anniston’s public library system during his lifetime and was noted for proposing and planning a new building. This was during the time when the original library and Regar Museum were unified as one as a resource of information.
