Horace and Barbara (Tucker) Carson of Oxford celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary June 17, 2016, with a visit to Chattanooga, Tenn. A trip to Hawaii with a seven-day cruise of the islands will come up soon. The celebration was held June 24 in the Christian Life Center of Antioch Baptist Church of Oxford and was hosted by their children and attended by friends and family.
Horace Carson is retired from the Alabama Institute for Deaf and Blind and the U.S. Air Force Reserve.
Barbara Carson is retired from the Calhoun County School System as an interpreter for students who were deaf or had difficulty hearing.
Their children include Kimberly Ann Grizzard (Randy) of Oxford and Kenneth Allen Carson (Denese) of Russellville. The have five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
