Campers at Coleman Lake enjoy a weekend of hiking, fishing and paranormal activity

HEFLIN — The 39 campsites at Coleman Lake Recreation Area were all filled during Memorial Day weekend and extra holiday campers spilled into the overflow campground to enjoy the long weekend.

Located in the Talladega National Forest and maintained by the U.S. Forest Service Shoal Creek District, the recreation area features a two-mile trail which surrounds a 21-acre lake providing a plethora of recreational opportunities.
