Grace Episcopal Church was completed in 1885. The builders used native buff sandstone obtained from a local quarry to construct the exterior.

Hanging high in the tower of Grace Church, the funeral bell rang 42 times, its peals and their message wafting Tuesday over downtown Anniston like a wintertime rain.
