Part of a quote by Josh McDowell say’s “ we are to allow Him to exercise His justice, where I personally want to take it on myself . Any one with any doubt’s should compare Jesus life with all the prophecies in the Old Testament about the Messiah.
Brother Greg opened our service’s today he asked “ Can we say when they crown Him King of King’s and Lord of Lord’s we will be there ?”
Brother Ronnie’s message this morning was from Genesis 22:1-19, “God will Provide, Jehovah-Jireh.” Philippians 4:19 “ But my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus .” The Greatest need any of us ever had was for a Savior ! Psalm 103:4 Who redeemeth thy life from destruction;
Glory Hallelujah! This benefit plan of Psalm 103 we have been discussing for several weeks is an amazing package. This week we move to verse 4. The Lord “redeemeth” our life from “destruction”. Notice our word “redeemeth”. This means to rescue, purchase, to be next to kin. What a wonderful thing to be kin to the King. Our word “destruction” means a pit, grave or a ditch. Praise the Lord He has redeemed our wretched soul from the pit of Hell!
By His own blood, He redeemed us. Without this blood redemption we would wind up in the eternal destruction of the firey pit of Hell. But notice that in this verse He tags our word with “eth”… “redeemeth”. Glory Hallelujah!! That “eth” makes the word mean continual action. In this case it is continual redemption. Thank God for the preserved Word of God. That “eth” is vital my friend. He “redeemeth thy life from destruction”. You see, when He redeemed our soul from the destruction of Hell it was only the beginning. He redeems our life daily! My dear friend “eth” is your best friend. Without “eth” then we could possibly be rewarded with one instance of rescue or maybe 10 or 20 or maybe 5. But you see, “eth” makes the process continuous. Praise the Lord! How many times do we find ourselves in a ditch or a pit of life?
How many times do we find ourselves in a mess and we need the Lord to redeem us from trouble. He is our ever-present Saviour! Colossians 1:14 In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins. Psalm 37:39 But the salvation of the righteous is of the LORD: he is their strength in the time of trouble. Psalm 46:1 God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Amen!!
The security of our benefit plan is powerful, personal and plenteous. Amen! Thank God for “eth”. Jesus is our redeeming Saviour yesterday, today and forever. Pastor David Phillips, Amazing Grace Baptist Church, 27440 Hwy 431, Wedowee, AL.
