Our mission team in on the ground in Nicaragua!! Pray they have the opportunity to touch lives and that many will come to know Christ. Pray for safe travels back as well. We had a great VBS and look forward to more years to come. We pray everyone has a blessed 4th of July and remember that we are One Nation Under God!
With Bro. George in Nicaragua, our youth leader Lex Ivey brought the message from Ez.37:1-14, “Finding Yourself in the Valley”. Ezekiel had a vision in the valley of dry bones from God. He saw them come together and live again as an army. We learn that the dry bones are Christians that have been away from God. When God moves you, be mindful of your surroundings. Who is around you? Who is affecting you? How did the bones get so dry? By being complacent and stagnant.
God will command you when you listen and obey. He wants to see you faithful to him. It takes a long time to get dry bones. Just doesn’t happen overnight. It is from feeling God less and less. In the story, even the dry bones heard God and moved. You are to obey and watch. To obey is to submit to another’s will- God’ will.
Can you see God changing and moving you? It’s easy when you have your eyes on God. Be cautious that you are not a body lying there without breath. Only God can breathe life into you.
When God reveals to you, he gives you wisdom and knowledge. If God brings you back, what will you do for him? You are capable of doing anything with God! Is there breath is your lungs and if so, are you using it for him?
Mount Olive Church of God
Today was Pastor Appreciation Day ! We at Mount Olive are Wonderfully Blessed to have Brother Ronnie and Sister June ! They both truly Love the Lord and live that way everyday !
Our Adult Sunday School lesson today was “ Reject Ungodly Attitudes (Various Individual’s)” 1 Samuel 2:12-35,4:17,Acts 5:1-11;8:9-24. We learn from the bad examples in today’s lesson that when we have a sinful attitude it make’s way for sinful words and deeds . We have to strive to hold onto attitude’s that please God. God deserves the best we can give of our time, resources, devotion and love. Out of love and obedience to Christ we have to reject evil in any form .
Sister Linda asked a question this morning before she preached “ If we knew this was the last time we’d get to be in church would we do anything any different ? “
Sister Linda’s message this morning was from Psalm 133 on “ Unity.”
When we all pull together how happy we will be !
Unity is beautiful and brings happiness . Ecclesiastes 4:9-12, we need each other !
Sister Linda’s’ message tonight reminded us God know’s where we are ! He’s with us in our darkest hour’s , He deserves our trust ! Sister Lauren read Psalm 91 it say’s “My God”
We have to read and believe God’s Word it work’s !
