Morality, like art, consists in drawing a line somewhere.

Little Johnny was left to fix lunch.

When his mother returned with a friend, she noticed that Johnny had already strained the tea.

The two women then sipped their tea happily while having lunch.

“Was it hard finding the tea strainer in the kitchen?” Johnny’s mother asked.

“I couldn’t find it Ma, so I used the fly swatter,” he replied.

His mother nearly fainted, so Johnny hastily added:

“Don’t get excited, Ma, I used the old one!”

Mount Oliver Church of God

Brother Greg opened our services today with Matthew 21:22,”And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing,ye shall receive “. We’ve all prayed and felt like our prayers didn’t go above the ceiling, that’s when we go on faith that God still hears Us!

Our adult Sunday school lesson today was “Justified by Faith “, Romans 4:1-5:11. Our salvation cannot be earned by anything we do! When we are justified by God’s grace we have joy and hope from Gods presence in our lives, we feel His Love and power. Through Christ we can have hope when our circumstances look hopeless. This little saying for faith came out of our Sunday school commentary, Forsaking All I Take Him (Christ)!

Brother Ronnie’s message this morning was from Luke 19:1-10. We have to start evangelizing, get people saved instead of just inviting them to church. If people get saved they will find a Church to go to,(Hebrews 10:25). We are ambassadors for Jesus Christ, that is better than anything we could receive from man.

Brother Terry Richardson brought our message tonight from 2 Kings 4:1-7. A lot of times we may not have enough to get by,but we have to trust God, not let fear overtake us. Show the devil we’re staying true to our Savior no matter how hard things appear.

Let’s all remember to pray for our nation and leaders!
