Happy Hill

Hello and many blessings from Happy Hill!

We missed not being able to have services at Shoal Creek this year due to inclement weather. Despite the change, it was a still a blessing to gather with believers at Happy Hill for Old Fashioned Sunday. The choir led the congregation in a song service that reminded us of days gone by. Bro. Earnest Bowen blessed us with a message from Luke 16:19-31. Reminding us to be sure we know where our eternity is spent. It is far better to be a poor man like Lazarus and be ready to spend our eternity with the Lord than ignore the Holy Spirit and end up a rich man in Hell. We had a wonderful time in fellowship with a lunch after services.

We would count it a blessing to have you join us for services led by Bro. Mark Hilburn next Sunday and Bro. Shane Leggett on October 22nd.

Join us October 29, 2017, for a Chili Supper @ 5 pm and Trunk of Treats at 6-7 pm

Can we pray for you?

Brother Cecil opened our service’s today with 2 Corinthians 12:9 . Brother Cecil said “He’d had a rough week but he was Blessed, wherever we’re at God’s with us , His Grace is Sufficient !

Our Adult Sunday School lesson today was “Jesus  Heal’s on the Sabbath ,” Luke 13:10-17;  14:1-6 .

Jesus also heal’s every day of the week and year !

Those who confronted Jesus lived in a ritual World , they attended synagogue but did not allow God to move as He would . Part of a quote by Charles Stanley “in the Hand’s of God adversity becomes the means through which His supernatural power is demonstrated.”

Brother Ronnie’s message this morning was from Colossians 3:12-17, “Practicing Godliness, Living Right .” Practice makes Perfect ! God feeds our soul from the Word Of God . James 1:22 “ But be ye doers of the Word , and not hearers only , deceiving your own selves. “Whatever we fill our mind with is what we’re gonna be. We have to practice growing the Fruits of the Spirit -Galatians 5:22-26. Galatians 5:25 “If we live in the Spirit , let us also walk in the Spirit.”

Brother Ronnie opened our service’s tonight. We are living in the end times , do not know what to expect tomorrow. Prayer can change things .

Brother Ronnie’s message tonight was from Acts 2:1-13. We all know someone lost , it’s time to come together , forget denomination. We are the Army of Almighty God ! Holy Ghost sets us apart for His use gives us power.  Luke 10:19
