Mount Olive Church of God

Brother Greg opened our services today by taking prayer requests and reading Luke 17:15,16.  God answers a lot of prayers for us , some we don’t even know He answers . How often do we remember to give Him thanks ?

Our adult Sunday School lesson today was  “ Sent by the Holy Spirit “ , Acts 11:19-30, 13:1-12 . Persecution drove the Christians out of Jerusalem into distant lands , it helped them sow the seeds of the Gospel as they could have done no other way . As Christians we try every day to be more Christ like . J. Oswald Sanders wrote “ The wonderful thing about God’s abundant grace and favor is that it is never too late to discover and follow God’s plan for the  remainder of our lives , never too late to make a new start , even if we have missed His plan up till the present time .”

Brother Ronnie’s message this morning was from Acts 16:25-34 , “ What a difference a midnight prayer and song of praise will make .” God doesn’t need the devil to advertise for Him !  A suddenly , from the Holy Ghost changes everything !

Brother David Gamble brought our message tonight from 2 Kings 4:1-7, “ Is there another vessel ?”

We have to be willing to surrender all to God ! Jesus tells us in John 14:15 “ If ye love me , keep my commandments.”

As Brother Ronnie said today , Everyone is leading someone in the direction their going . Be sure to go the right way !”
