Mount Olive Church of God

Brother Greg opened our services today with Jeremiah 32:26-27, verse 27 say’s “Behold, I am the Lord, the God of all flesh ; is there anything too hard for me ?” This is the theme for our upcoming Revival. Nothing is too big, no one is too far out in sin, no one is too sick that the blood of Jesus cannot reach!

Our Adult Sunday school lesson today was “Jesus Gives Hope For the Future,” Luke 21:5-36. This lesson remind’s us of the Blessed Hope we have Jesus Christ WILL Come Again ! We live in troubling time’s where there are those who oppose the Gospel, Christ give’s us strength to be witnesses for Him . Part of a quote by George MacDonald say’s “ It is when tomorrow’s burden is added to the burden of today that the weight is more than a man can bear .”

Brother Ronnie’s message this morning was from Philippians 4:1-9, “Complete Peace Of Mind .” True peace of mind only come’s from Almighty God ! God give’s us power to rebuke thought’s we shouldn’t have . We can pray for God to sanctify our thought’s and mind’s . Philippians 4:8 tell’s us thing’s to think on and verse 9 assure’s us the peace of God will be with us !

Tonight’s service was an Awesome Holy Ghost filled service . Choir sang and we enjoyed two very talented special singer’s . We enjoyed the time of Worship with those from Living Word Family Church and Liberty Rock Holiness Church .

Brother Ronnie’s number is (256)201-9444.

The Daily Nugget

Proverbs 16:20  He that handleth a matter wisely shall find good: and whoso trusteth in the LORD, happy is he.

Life is loaded with “matters”.  We all face situations and circumstances that require decisions on our part.  We sometimes have to decide what kind of response we will give in touchy situations.  As a Pastor, I have learned over the years that the type of response I give can definitely determine how good or bad the situation turns out.  Our verse reminds us that we must handle the matters of life wisely if we plan to enjoy the good things life has to offer.  One wrong response can cause a lifetime of misery. Just one uncalled for comment to another person can cause us to have to avoid that person the rest of our life.  Even though we can go to them and attempt to make it right, the memory of the raw situation never leaves our mind or theirs. You see my friend attitude matters.  Our responses do very much so matter.  We must handle life’s circumstances right.  The last part of our verse teaches us that we must trust the Lord with life and all that it delivers.  God is sovereign.  This means He knows all and is in control of all.  He has the power to change a situation from total negative to complete positive.  I cannot number the situations I have dealt with in this life that looked hopeless.  As I stood there helpless with my hands in the air and my head bowed in His presence, I unloaded it upon the Lord.  It is only at that point will we start seeing the Lord’s will unfold.  We must trust the Lord to handle what is trying to handle us.  If we will do this then we will experience miracle upon miracle.  The Lord can and will turn situations around that He may get the glory.  We must trust Him to move what needs moving in order for His will to be done.  Friend, ask the Lord to adjust your attitude and to give you the strength and wisdom to handle life’s situations wisely.  Determine to trust Him with it.  He knows all and is in control of all.  Life… what a ride!  Amen.
