CHURCH NEWS

Mount Olive Church of God

We didn’t have church today because so many were still out of power and dangerous road conditions. We wanted to take this time to wish everyone Merry Christmas and Happy New Year ! The snow can remind us that when God cleans us up we shall be whiter than snow (Psalm 51:7).

The Adult Sunday School lesson today would have been “Jehoshaphat the Brave,” 2 Chronicles 17:1-20:34. God is always faithful to us, are we faithful to Him ? We are saved by grace but our obedience shows our loyalty and faithfulness to God ! As Jehoshaphat did we have to keep our eyes fixed on Jesus (Hebrews 12:2).

During the snow there have been lots of people working hard -hospital,police,fire and rescue workers, Alabama and Georgia Power have worked hard to get everyone’s power back on . Those at Fruithurst Store and Cafe were open working hard so people could have the supplies they needed, they allowed several people to charge their phones there. Also my husband and I rode to Bremen looking for gas had a flat tire this Very Kind young man, his girlfriend and another friend helped change our tire , two others offered help, they asked for nothing in return ! Our World can be a scary place , its Awesome when God allows us to slow down see the kindness still around us !

We would like for you all to join us for worship anytime, what better way to start the Christmas Season and New Year?  Come as you are , no matter your need God is waiting to help ! HE LOVES YOU !
