Right-of-Way Worker Coosa Valley Electric Cooperative (CVEC) is accepting resumes for the position of Right-of-Way (ROW) Worker. All applicants must have a high school diploma (or GED), and a Class A CDL with a satisfactory driving record. The applicant chosen for this job will be required to pass a drug / alcohol test as well as a physical fitness test, and will be subjected to quarterly random drug and alcohol testing. Must be able to safely and properly use all ROW clearing tools and equipment for work around energized and de-energized power lines. Must be able to climb trees for hand trimming as necessary. All applicants for this position must be willing to advance into the CVEC Apprentice Lineman program at a future date. At least two years experience in ROW tree trimming and clearing is preferred, as well as knowledge of electrical distribution systems and mapping programs. Applicant chosen for job must reside within 25 miles of the CVEC office or will be given 6 months to relocate. NO applications or resumes will be accepted on-site.
