Winter's Wonders

This is a picture of a building in Heflin that has historical significance. It is across from Webb's Concrete. It dates to the late 1800s. When farmers brought their products on horse-drawn wagons to market, Merchant J.A. Owens allowed them to spend the night in this building. I took this picture several months ago. Suzanne Payne, who writes a column for The Cleburne News, and Kathy Harlan are sisters and decendants of the founders of the store.
