Summer in the South NEXT | START OVER | PREVIOUS King's Mantle, Thunbergia erecta. I just bought this one recently. My neighbor had one, just across the hedge from me, which I thought was beautiful. They were trying to grow it in a container. During a dry spell they neglected to give it enough water and it expired. So, I had to go out and buy one for myself. These are flowers from mine. They can be grown as a bush or as a vine. They eventually get 18 feet tall, they say. I would be happy to live long enough to see it half that tall and covered with flowers. Submit a picture.
