Summer in the South NEXT | START OVER | PREVIOUS This is the view of the lake from the restaurant where we had dinner Friday evening before leaving Panajachel, the largest town on Lake Atitlan. I was scheduled to return to the States Sunday morning, and we planned to spend a leisurely Saturday in Guatemala City. Those plans were disrupted when, upon leaving the restaurant, we discovered that our passports had been stolen earlier in the day. So much for a leisurely weekend.
