A tiny green, yellow and black bee which I have not been able to identify. It LOVES the Agastache X 'Blue Fortune' in this picture, but I also see it feeding upon Salvia Indigo Spires and Red Pentas. It is very aggressive and I have seen several of them gang up on another species of bee and actually fly into the interloper bee to make it depart because it was feeding upon what they consider their turf. But they even do the same thing to each other. If one is feeding, it has to keep an eye out for others of the same species because they will come by and attack it and try to drive it away from its food source. From its attitude, I doubt if these live in groups. It seems to be one that would find it difficult getting along with itself, much less with others of the same species.
