This is the bloom of the Passionflower vine, Passiflora caerulea, which I planted to attract Gulf Fritillary butterflies. It turns out, the butterflies prefer Passiflora incarnata, a native weed you may know as Maypop. I now have one of those, but I still don't have many of the butterflies. At least the vines have pretty flowers.
