NEXT | START OVER | PREVIOUS Flower of Purpletop Vervain or Tall Verbena, Verbena bonariensis. I grew these from seeds and kept them in the pot for almost a year. I finally put them out last fall and they bloomed out for the first time this spring. Each has at least a half dozen 3-foot-long stems with flowers like this at the top. The butterflies love them.
