This plant has me stumped. I first thought it was Coreopsis, but I'm not really sure.
It opens in the morning, then the blooms close and reopen again the next day.
When left to go to seed, it produces thistles similar to dandelions.
I just think it's pretty. It can be found along roadsides ... and in my yard.
