Autumn
In The Air

The plant is Tithonia diversifolia, a giant Mexican Sunflower. I started these less than a year ago from cuttings. I first saw it at Florida House, where it was attracting swarms of bees and butterflies. These are 15 or 20 feet tall and just started blooming in very late October. I started three of them and I see 19 blooms on them right now (not all visible in this pic). They will bloom until killed by frost and come back again next year as perennials.
