Autumn In The Air NEXT | START OVER | PREVIOUS
I was picking up some seeds that a Moonflower plant had spilled on my gravel walkway when I spotted this huge Tersa Sphinx moth caterpillar. I managed to roll it onto a piece of paper without actually touching it with my fingers and moved it to the mulch under the plant. I thought it was ready to pupate and would burrow under the mulch. It was gone the next day, so I hope it's now asleep for the winter and will emerge as a beautiful moth next spring.
