Autumn
In The Air

Eventually I brought Poppy inside. I cut flowers for him to nectar on and stuck them in wet floral foam to keep them fresh. I put Poppy's Garden inside the glass tank I had used earlier to rear 36 Monarch caterpillars. The flowers are low enough that when he falls off, he doesn't fall far and he can climb back up. Still, I think he likes it better outside. I have found him a couple of times in the corner of the tank next to the window, still trying to fly. It's the same place the newly eclosed Monarchs went when they first came out of their chrysalises.
