FEELS LIKE FALL NEXT | START OVER | PREVIOUS These spiders are so different from usual that one might begin to think they were from some other planet, but they are in the book as Orb-Weavers, probably Spiny Backed Orb-Weavers. Orb-Weavers weave in bits of silk here and there in their webs to make them visible to larger creatures who otherwise would not see the web and blunder into it, destroying in a moment what it took the Orb-Weaver a week of very laborious work to build.
