Kelley Steadham Post 312 is a supporter of the American Legion’s Boys State program. The objective of the program is to provide training to our youth to understand and appreciate the basic principles involved in the successful management of a democratic society. Young men chosen to be Boys State participants spend a week on the campus of the University of Alabama in June. While there, they receive hands-on experience in the organization of a model state, complete with its governing bodies and elected officials.

The two young men chosen to attend Boys State representing Post 312 were Marquez Colbert and Trevekio Roberts. Both will be seniors at Anniston High School in the fall.
