Terrapin Tri-County Adventure Race to be held

The Terrapin Tri-County Adventure Race pre-race check-in and packet pick up/on-site registration is to be noon-8 p.m. April 29; (Check or cash only); pre-race dinner/pre-race briefing is to be 6 p.m. at the Chief Ladiga Trail campground in Piedmont. On-site registration/race day check-in is to be 6-7 a.m. April 30. The race starts at 8 a.m. at the Chief Ladiga Trail Campground in Piedmont and ends at 2 p.m. at the Eubanks Welcome Center, downtown Piedmont. The post race meal is 1-3 p.m. with awards/prizes presented at 3 p.m. at the center. Late registrations after April 15 are not guaranteed T-shirts.

Race headquarters is to be the Lodge at Chief Ladiga Trail Campground. Awards determined by total of racer fees received. Boat and bike placement determined by age and order of registration. Ages are 14 and up.

Racer fees are as follows:

Individual, race all three race portions: $60 until Jan. 30; $75 Jan. 31-March 31; $90 April 1-April 30

Teams, three people, one on each portion: $120 until Jan. 30; $160 Jan. 31-March 31; $185 April 1-April 30.

For USAT Triathlon paid-up members there is no insurance fee, but entrants must sign and provide online membership details linked from the ASRT site – AlabamaScenicRiverTrail.com to active.com.

Non-members have to purchase $10 insurance USAT one-day registration and sign the online waiver. If this is not done online, do so by cash or check at the registration desk at Chief Ladiga Trail Campground April 29 or April 30.
