The present political movement in this country represents a desire by most Americans to return to the basic fundamental principles of the U.S. Constitution: to keep government small and simple and to only do those things required by this document and write off the rest as clutter and an impediment to the function of our nation's government. The military translation would be the K.I.S.S. principle, "Keep It Simple Stupid!"

Our nation has reached its low point because politicians and parties have taken every opportunity through the past 150-plus years to subjugate the Constitution on political whims for instant gain.

We citizens are as much to blame for watching them circumvent the only document that gives us our rights and freedoms and doing nothing to prevent it. Each of us must pay attention to what's going on in our local governments all the way to the top. They are your rights and freedoms, so take time off every once in a while from your daily lives, study and learn what is going on in the branches of government.

Average Americans are not interested in the goals and political aspirations of political parties or the politicians in them. All we elected them to do is govern our country based only on the U.S. Constitution without trying to add or take anything from it for their own personal glory. Had they done so, our country would not be in the mess it's in.

You should demand adherence to the U.S. Constitution from all our elected representatives. Your failure might require you, your family, friends and neighbors to keep your mouths shut, do what you are told or be shot in the not too distant future. It's your choice today, but for how much longer?
