JSU athletic director Oval Jaynes confirmed Wednesday that the Gamecocks will play LSU in Baton Rouge in 2015.
A formal announcement could be made as later today.
Jaynes didn’t disclose terms of the contract but said it was “comparable” to what the Gamecocks have been getting from other SEC teams it has contracts with.
The Gamecocks open this season at Ole Miss, and over the following five years will play Kentucky, Florida, Auburn, Michigan State of the Big 10 (for $600,000) and LSU. They are looking for secondary guarantee games in 2013 and ’14, primarily geared toward Conference USA and Sun Belt teams.
