A second worker has died as a result of injuries incurred during the collapse of a radio tower at McClellan Thursday afternoon.

Jonce Hubble, 41, of Albertville died in surgery at UAB Hospital around 9 p.m., Calhoun County Coroner Pat Brown said.

Hubble was transported to UAB after he was injured in a 40-foot fall when a radio tower he was working on fell to the ground.

Hubble's co-worker Barry Sloan, 37, of Albertville was pronounced dead at the scene.

This is so tragic for both of these families. I personally know the children of Barry Sloan and know that their daddy will be greatly missed by his children, family and friends in Mississippi. Our prayers are with both families during this awful ordeal.
