The three sons and daughters-in-law, Davis and Cheryl, of Leeds, Alabama, Glenn and Kim, of Lincoln, Alabama, and Mike and Debbie, of Jackson, Mississippi, hosted the special occasion. The event was made even more special because Roy and Glenda are the third generation in the family to reach the Golden Anniversary.
Glenda's parents, Ernest Fred Tumlin and Molly Irene Robinson Tumlin were the second generation to celebrate the golden anniversary Nov. 18, 1983, with their three daughters and one son.
Glenda's grandparents, William Gaines Tumlin and Lillie Delphia Brasher Tumlin, were the first generation to celebrate the golden anniversary March 25, 1955, with their seven sons and one daughter.
Roy and Glenda Hollingsworth are members of the Talladega Church of Christ and reside in Talladega. The golden anniversary celebration was at the Talladega Church of Christ and enjoyed by many family and friends of the special couple.
The couple was married July 11, 1960, in Talladega.
