Ragan Cole of Jacksonville was promoted to first lieutenant in the U.S. Air Force May 27 at a ceremony held at Hurlburt Field, Fla. He is a 2004 graduate of Jacksonville High School and a 2008 graduate of Auburn University. He is the son of Greg and Joan Cole of Jacksonville and the grandson of Joe and Jerrie Blackmon of Anniston and Tom and Ina Cole of Jacksonville. He is married to Lacy Downs Cole, formerly of Hot Springs, Ark.
