Three women who were reported lost last night in the Talladega National Forest have been found.

None of the women were injured, and all were in fair condition when searchers found them near Adam’s Gap this afternoon, according to Jeff Edwards, spokesman for the Cleburne County Search and Rescue Team, which headed the search operation. They were being treated by Cleburne County Emergency Medical Services, he said.

The women were reported missing at 10 p.m. last night, Edwards said. A car belonging to one of the women was located at Chinabee Lake.

The Alabama Department of Public Safety worked with searchers by supplying a helicopter for the search, Edwards said.

The identity of only one woman has been confirmed to The Star: Celeste Hartline, of Jacksonville. A relative of Hartline said the 28-year-old last spoke to family last night by cell phone. When the phone’s battery died, family members reported her missing, said Lois Kopp, Hartline’s grandmother.
