The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Diane Davis of Hoover and the late Roger Bruce Davis, and Rachel Church of Birmingham and the late Bobby Bunn, formerly of Birmingham.
Miss Davis attends UAB Nursing School and will graduate in May.
The prospective groom is the grandson of the late Hershell and Lolette King, and the late John and Julia Newell.
Mr. King attends Jacksonville State University. He is employed by Jefferson State Community College baseball team.
The wedding will be Oct. 2 at the Emerald Grande in Destin, Fla.
