Anniston Middle School basketball team wins championship

Anniston Middle School eighth-grade boy's basketball team won its first championship at a tournament held at Briarwood Christian Academy in Birmingham Dec. 12. The team won with a score of 47-36 over Briarwood Christian Academy. Team members included front row left to right, Jimmy Thomas and Elvin Riddle; second row left to right, Andrew Bothwell Jr.; Daveuntae Jackson; Calvin Davis, Issic Perry and Cadrious Brown; third-row left to right, Quindarious Jackson, boy's coach Tracy Brazier, Monquavius Frazier, Tadarious Smith, volunteer boy's coach Mark Kirkland; and girl's basketball coach Leroy Clark.
