BAND Band nickname: Marching Tiger Band.

Band director: Quentin J. Lee.

A few words from the director: “This is a rebuilding year for the Mighty Marching Tigers of Talladega County Central High School. Our numbers may have dropped, but our school spirit and pride has increased tremendously. The Tigers participated in the Southeast Regional Battle of the Bands in Birmingham and also participated in the Alabama A&M University Homecoming Parade. The Tigers are definitely keeping busy this year. This year’s show is dedicated to the memory of Dr. Columbus V. Young. Dr. Young served as the band director at TCC for many years.”

Number in band: 33.

Section leaders: Bria Tuck and Paige Bowman, clarinets; Brittany Chatman, flutes; Shanekia Taylor, trumpets; Jasmin Stockdale, saxophones; Antonio Gooden, low brass; and Eric Thomas, percussion.

Drum majors: Kristopher Billingsley and Donarius Burr.

Head dance line: Lakeshia Garrett and Glenice Wycoff.

Booster club officers: Phyllis Morgan, president; Clifford Cross, vice president; Myra Cross, secretary; and Glenise Stockdale, treasurer.

CHEERLEADERS Varsity football cheerleading squad: Marcedees Stockdale (captain), Ashley Embry (co-captain), Charlotte Briskey, Debria Stallworth, Kiandria Philllips, Myieshia Scales, Brittany Avery and Stephanie Farrior.

Awards: Attended UCA Cheer Camp and received Superior ratings; and Marcedees Stockdale was selected All-American Cheerleader.
