The Major General Patrick R. Cleburne Chapter of the United Daughters of the Confederacy recently presented Lt. Col. Haskel Linden Howard with the Vietnam Conflict Cross of Military Service.

The Crosses of Military Service are awarded to those who by faithful devotion and patriotic military service to country in time of war have exemplified courage and loyalty reflecting honor upon him as well as upon his Confederate ancestor.

The Chapter members enjoyed lunch at Patty's Victorian Dining and were engrossed in Confederate ghost stories by author Debra Glass.

Attendees at the luncheon included left to right, UDC member Ruth Groover, Haskel Linden Howard and wife/UDC member Jo Groover Howard.
