Calhoun County Home and Community Leaders recently gave Louise Honeycutt a party to celebrate her 99th birthday. Elizabeth Williams pinned a corsage, made by Becky Coxwell, onto Honeycutt. The orchid was grown in Coxwell's green house.

Honeycutt was also presented gifts and 'happy birthday' was sung to the tune of On Top of Old Frosty.

Honeycutt stuffs pillows for cancer patients and has been a frequent traveler with the group since retirement from teaching.

Attendees included Marilyn Lawson, Evelyn Martin, Frances Gravitt, Kathryn Young, Mattie Wilson, Carol Headrick, Betty Woodard, Peggy Crosby, Sharon Pearce, Frances Surrett, Dorothy Evans, Elizabeth Williams, Marchale Burton and Lillian Prather along with friends, family and members of the organization.
