A woman was in the Anniston City Jail Friday after she was arrested for allegedly stabbing her boyfriend on July 2.

Sequenda Lashawn "Shawn" Tucker, 33, of Anniston was arrested and charged with second-degree domestic violence, a felony.

Tucker and her 40-year-old boyfriend allegedly got into an argument at a home on the 2800 block of Old Wilmer Avenue in the early morning.

She took a kitchen steak knife and stabbed him, police said, striking an artery.

Her boyfriend ran to a neighbor's house, bleeding profusely, investigators said.

The neighbor drove the victim to Stringfellow Memorial Hospital, where he underwent immediate surgery, police said.

Her bond is $5,000 and she is to appear in court Oct. 16.
