The Anniston City Board of Education on Thursday honored George Jordan, who resigned as Anniston High School principal for personal reasons and to be closer to his family out of state.

"We honored him and thanked him for his time in Anniston, and wished him well on going back to Mississippi," board member Jim Klinefelter said. "… He was a very likeable fellow, and could speak real well, and could relate to almost anybody."

Sherron Jinadu is the new principal at Anniston High, coming to the school from Tenth Street Elementary.
