Anniston police were looking Tuesday for a burglar scared away by a homeowner Monday night.

The 55-year-old resident was asleep between 9 and 9:30 p.m. at his home on the 100 block of Boling Drive when he heard someone moving around in his kitchen, police said.

He went to the room, and surprised the man, investigators said.

The man fled, and the victim discovered the burglar stole two rings.

Police said they had a good description of the suspect.
