Nina Bidikov scored wins at No. 1 singles and No. 1 doubles to pace Donoho’s girls tennis team to a 7-2 win over Faith Christian at Golden Springs Community Center.

Bidikov won 8-2 over Hallie Kulick, then teamed with Brooke Bracho for an 8-0 win over Kulick and Reagan Crosby. Camille Fink won at No. 3 singles over Crosby 8-2, then won at No. 2 doubles with Wittney Brown over Abby Emerson and Frannie Jones 8-5.

Sarah Mason won at No. 6 singles over Ryleigh Freeman 8-3, then won in No. 3 doubles with Corrine Heathcock 8-4 over Janay Caver and Freeman 8-4.

For Faith Christian, Emerson won at No. 2 singles 8-3 over Bracho, and Caver won 8-6 at No. 5 singles over Heathcock.

Faith Christian boys 6, Donoho 3: Faith Christian won the top four singles divisions and the top two in doubles.

Faith got singles wins from Ryan Crosby at No. 1 over Richard Bateman 8-5, David Wall at No. 2 over Chandler Collins 8-2, Andrew Gattrell at No. 3 over Quinlan Swain 8-0, and Michael Kulick at No. 4 over Jake Walker 8-6.

In doubles, Crosby and Gattrell won 8-2 at No. 1 over Swain and Norwood Hodges, and Wall and Kulick at No. 2 over Collins and Walker 8-6.

For Donoho, Ben Myrick won at No. 5 over Zac Gattrell 8-3, and Gray Handley won at No. 6 over Jac Myrick 8-5. Those four met in No. 3 doubles as well, with Donoho’s Myrick and Handley winning 8-2.

Baseball

Pleasant Valley 14, Saks 0:
Hunter Carr shined on the mound and at the plate for the Raiders in a Tuesday win.

He pitched five innings for the win, before R.J. Simpson relieved and worked the final two. Carr also was 3-for-5 with three singles.

Drew Lewiski was 3-for-6 with a pair of doubles, while Simpson was 2-for-3 with two singles. Austin Parris, Dustin Andrews and Nick O’Dell each singled.

Pleasant Valley (2-0) will play Faith Christian at home Thursday at 4 p.m.

Softball

Alexandria 4, Etowah 3:
Played at Alexandria, Lauren O'Dell got the win for the Valley Cubs as she struck out seven and gave up eight hits.

At the plate, Madi Shanks had a pair of hits. Allie Shanks, Timberlyn Shurbutt, Kaitlyn Rhodes, Catelynn Howell and Erin Farlow each had one hit.

Alexandria will play again Monday at home against Southside at 5 p.m.
